Recently, there have been important negotiations around the European Union's Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). The regulation is expected to become law by the end of this year. What are the latest updates to the PPW? And is your packaging ready? The PPWR will set rules and targets that will apply throughout the EU. It sets mandates for design for recyclability, minimum usage of post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, and bans on certain types of packaging. In addition, there will be eco-modulated Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) fees based on recyclability.
