The final PPWR is changing the
world of packaging - are you ready?
Update & Expert Q&A
Wednesday 5th March 2025, 15:00 CET (14:00 GMT)
This final regulation sets mandates for recyclability, minimum usage of post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, and bans on certain types of packaging. In addition, there will be eco-modulated Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) fees based on recyclability. These rules and targets apply to all packaged products sold in the EU.
Combine this with additional regulations like plastic taxes in UK and Spain, as well as the country-by-country evolution of EPR and there is a lot to unpack.
